I am seeking a position in Engineering, Marketing management or Emergency preparedness based in the US Midwest. I have many professional (hardware and software) as well as personal accomplishments which have marked my life, distinguishing myself above many of my contemporaries. After a number of years of self employment during retirement and accomplishing my goals and dreams in the South Pacific, I am fully invigorated, refreshed and excited about re-entering the field. I have truly missed the excitement of managing teams of engineers and the thrill of major professional accomplishments that have so permeated my career.
I am a very dynamic public speaker, as comfortable, on stage with a microphone in front of two hundred of the worlds top engineering scientists as I am at a formal black-tie dinner in my tuxedo. I have a strong background in putting together and managing aggressive and successful, high-tech marketing and engineering teams. My background, when combined with my dynamic, aggressive personality and stage presence will provide you the leader necessary to accomplish your company’s goals and objectives in today’s ever changing market environment. I am a dynamic leader, team motivator and manager. I have an extensive background in radio communications and the associated repeater networks in both VHF and HF frequency bands.
Personally, in addition to my very high-tech background in aerospace engineering and semiconductor applications, I possess a very well rounded education which allows me to converse at any level with those in a social situation such as corporate dinners and events.
I am an advanced SCUBA diver, small plane pilot, downhill skier, Amateur Radio Operator, camper, hiker and explorer. I have many friends from every religious and racial group all over the world giving me the multi-cultural sensitivities necessary in today’s politically sensitive work environment. My comprehensive teaching background includes presentations and seminars at levels from distribution sales up through Senior engineering scientists as well as college electronics and engineering teacher. As a personal project I volunteered to work in emergency preparedness and was eventually promoted reporting directly to the head of State Department of Emergency services Mr. Earl Thompson. I was directed to prepare a disaster response plan. I selected a major earthquake on the San Andreas Fault, located between San Jose and Santa Cruz. I selected shelter sites, coordinated Red Cross supply, set up communications stations at these sites, local hospitals, fire stations, local EOC and police, and assisted in drills. When the Loma Prieta earthquake hit October 17 1989, each of my selected shelters was fully functional and operational. Hundreds were housed and fed, some for days. For a few hours when the Los Gatos EOC was evacuated I personally coordinated the needed communications take over until the EOC could be re-established.
I look forward to the opportunity of presenting my versatile background to you in person and being able to review many of my professional accomplishments, learning from you how I can be properly used to provide your company the successes it deserves as we move into the next decade.
